Friday June 27, 2003 at 4:14AM - Offshore Outsourcing World Staff Offshore Outsourcing and the H1-B Visa Many North American developers hold H1-B visa holders with the same disregard that they have for offshore outsourcing. Interestingly enough, H1-B visa holders should have the same opinion of offshore outsourcing as the North American developers. A recent article points out that offshore outsouring is contributing to the slack in the local labor market. The result is that contract jobs upgrading SAP installations are harder to be found. This is true for anyone in the United States, regardless of visa status. This side-effect of offshore outsourcing is especially troubling to holders of H1-B visas.
